SEVEN SPRINGS BIKE PARK
During 2008, Judd de Vall assessed the Seven Springs Resort property as members of the IMBA Trail Solutions team and designed and managed the construction of the resort's first permanent downhill bike trail.
During 2009, Alpine's team of Eric Carter, Randy Spangler, and Judd de Vall returned to assist the resort with trail crew hiring and training, while master-planning the resort's downhill trail network and expanding the park to five gravity trails, a pump track, and a skills area during the resort's first year of lift-served operations.
This spectrum of beginner to expert level downhill trails immediately earned praise on a national scale and became the cultural hotbed for Pittsburgh DH enthusiasts. Alpine's team finished the year off with a photo and video shoot leveraging our professional athlete connections and acclaimed videographer Don Hampton of DH Productions.
Also in the fall of 2009, we created a phase 2 master plan for the resort's North Face. This combination of master planning, staff training, media and professional rider outreach helped position Seven Springs for immediate, substantial growth in visitation and inclusion in the largest competitive gravity racing series in the region.
