Biographies
Judd brings multiple business degrees and a passion for business to the growing bike park industry. He has honed his expertise in facilitating mountain bike developments through a decade of projects. While working as the International Projects Coordinator for the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), he interfaced with grassroots mountain bike associations and local decision makers across Canada, Europe, and Latin America. Following a few seasons of World Cup downhill racing, de Vall returned to grassroots partnership-building and the development of progressive bike park facilities. de Vall takes the lead on team building, envisioning, and project delivery for bike park developments.
Morgan brings together a degree in environmental science, a decade of experience in facility development, and a passion for mountain biking and trails. On a facility-wide level, Morgan directs and manages project implementation and phasing with the goal of holistic efficiency and continuity. On a human resources level, his goal is to motivate team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their scope of work. Morgan brings an innately positive attitude to his work that when combined with his strong interpersonal skills, helps him to clearly communicate project goals with clients, architects, consultants, builders, and end users.
Chester brings a background in graphic design and collateral development to Alpine’s visual communication and creative direction. An avid digger and BMX rider, Chester delivers a dynamic perspective to bike park design. Chester has developed his experience over 10-years of professional design with outdoor industry firms such as Kali Protectives, Giant Bicycles Canada, RaceFace Performance Products, and Outdoor Research. Chester champions Alpine’s bike park design, art direction, project signage, web development, marketing collateral, and printed material.
Nate has over 15 years of adventure program operations experience delivering positive growth and change experiences to a wide range of clients. With a Masters of Science in Education Nate pairs experiential education theory with hands-on tools to create dynamic programs that delight participants. Nate has worked specifically in high adventure for several years designing, developing and installing Canopy Zip Line tours and aerial adventure courses throughout North America and directing operations at many facilities simultaneously giving him a deep understanding of the critical interplay between design, development and operations. His responsibilities include program development and strategy, marketing and business operations assistance, and ensuring that program operations are optimized for Alpine Bike Parks clients.
Theresa Zaro, ASLA is a Landscape Architect and Project Manager at Alpine Bike Parks, where she contributes careful site analysis, creative stormwater management solutions, low-impact grading design, and incorporation of habitat-rich living landscapes amongst active bike park spaces. With a B.L.A. from CalPoly San Luis Obispo, an M.L.A. from UC Berkeley, licensure in the state of California, and over a decade of design and cycling experience, she works from conceptual brainstorming through construction documents to integrate a bike park into its surrounding community and ecosystem in a seamless, accessible, and contextually relevant manner.
World Champion Mountain Biker. With over two decades of elite racing experience, Eric Carter brings an incomparable knowledge of trail design and event venue development to the Alpine Bike Parks team. His experience as a multiple-time World Cup Champion in downhill, dual slalom, and mountain cross enables Carter to create progressive, flow-based designs that professional racers say are the absolute best in the field. His innate ability to design with spectators in mind assures that Alpine Bike Parks' projects bring community together around the park facility, highlighting the park and its surroundings.
