A bike park built to honor the legacy of one of Nanaimo’s most legendary people and World Cup DH winner - Stevie Smith. The Stevie Smith Bike Park design encompasses an array of jump lines ranging from beginner to expert including a pumptrack and skills park. Alpine worked with the City of Nanaimo and the Stevie Smith Legacy Foundation to ensure the creation of a world-class facility.

"This course is something that I've always wanted to ride or build," says Rhythm course creator Bas van Steenbergen. "Having these super technical rhythm sections, big jumps and sick turns all in one trail was a dream come true for me." Alpine’s services for The Big White Resort consist of bike park implementation, market strategy, and trail construction. Alpine collaborated with Tom vanSteenbergen and Harrison Mendel to build the Shimano This Is Home trail at Bike Big White.

Alpine Bike Parks partners with The Sea Otter Classic as the Official Bike Park designer and consultant. With this opportunity Alpine applies event operations, management, and facilitation primarily into the Ride Zone and Airbag Zone, where Sea Otter participants test ride bicycles and practice their skills. In collaboration with FlowForm Bike Ramps, Alpine is able to provide a variety of features that cater to a multi-generational group of users targeting skill progression.

Alpine Bike Parks lead the planning, design, and construction of a network of downhill flow trails in Black River, Jamaica. During construction Alpine staff managed the local construction team and provided on-site design and bicycle-specific trail construction expertise.

The goal of Alpine Bike Parks was to design and construct a selection of trails and associated landscape areas that connect buildings and bring the corporate Specialized headquarter community together on their bikes. Some of the trails are XC/CX oriented with natural surfacing, while others are paved and deliver pump track flow. Sections of the trails are surfaced with asphalt so that they can be precisely sculpted, plus be rideable year-round with minimal maintenance.

Alpine Bike Parks designed and built The Gage Bike Park Pumptrack incorporating a small beginner pumptrack and a more advanced intermediate pumptrack design. The pumptrack caters to inner city youth and is a great example of what these types of project can produce. Within the first week of the parks use, Eco-Counters tallied up 47,000 tires rolling over the pumptrack. The pumptrack is constructed of dirt and the pilot project will be assessed to determine the potential future implementation of other pumptracks in the city of Hamilton, Ontario.
